North Dakota’s annual tourism conference starts today in Minot. This conference is the place-to-be for tourism marketers, attractions, events and tourism businesses and professionals. (It’s a lot of work in planning and a lot of fun and learning when it takes place.)
The 2010 conference will feature nationally renowned keynote speakers Jane Eckert, Sam Giest and Bruce Christopher. This year there is also a pre-conference workshop on Green Tourism. Special break-out sessions provide insights into technology, niche marketing, maximizing sales and much more.
Tourism in North Dakota is a $4.13 billion industry supporting more than 31,000 jobs. Visitors most often come to North Dakota for outdoors experiences – including wildlife viewing, golfing, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, touring national and state parks and the list goes on … and on.
