Two of the hottest stops in Washington DC are distinctively North Dakotan and if you’re visiting the capital city prior to planning an adventure to North Dakota, be sure to give those taste buds a treat.
Ever since it opened in 2008, the Founding Farmers on Pennsylvania Avenue has been one of the country’s leading restaurants to offer farm-inspired American true food and drink. Reservations are accepted up to two months in advance. At the Georgetown Waterfront, Farmers & Fishers offers a casual atmosphere and the best of regional American cooking from coast-to-coast. While currently closed due to Harbor flooding, the restaurant hopes to be open again soon. Both restaurants are owned by the North Dakota Farmers’ Union.
Once you’ve gotten a taste for great North Dakota cooking, journey west for some “vittles in the vast lane.” From pitchfork fondue to Scandinavian cuisine. We’ll tell you were to find what you’re hungry for!
